Thanks Liz! I think the Indigo is still molting a bit. It looks a little rough. There were lots of younger ones today that still had lots of gray feathers. Nature's colors are amazing.
I did see a female Blue Grosbeak and tried to get a shot of her but no luck. I do love the coloration of these birds. There were lots of young Indigo Buntings I suspect are first year birds as they still did not have full adult coloration.

ReplyDeletePaula, it is amazing how many different birds you are seeing. I keep wondering if they are really around me too and I just don't see them.
ReplyDeleteGladys, I am sure they are. They can hide in plain sight. I bird first by sound; when I hear them, I start looking.
