Baltimore Orioles |
The last couple of days, the migratory birds have really started arriving in large numbers. The variety of bird songs this morning tired the brain training to identify the various species. I saw quite a lot today but unfortunately, the weather most certainly did not cooperate for photography.
It seems like for the last couple of years, during peek week, we have had overcast, rainy weather.
Some sightings from late yesterday afternoon and today. More Rose-breasted Grosbeaks also came in today. I am still amazed at the numbers that have arrived this year,,,,not complaining though!

Your pictures are great Paula despite the weather.
ReplyDeleteThe Baltimore Oriole photos reminded me I need to buy oranges. It is getting time that one or two might stop by for a day or so. At least that is what happened last year.
In checking last year photos I see it was May 8-10th they were seen. In fact on the 10th a Scarlet Tanager was with the Orioles!
Thanks Liz. The Orioles usually just stay a couple of days here then move on. I saw the male early this morning and have heard his song most of the day but he has not made an appearance. I would have like a shot with their feathers smoothed but better something than nothing.
ReplyDeleteMaybe they are headed your way. I will be watching for some pics from you.
